Tim Clark, Chief of Staff

Tim Clark is a Vietnam veteran who joined the Tucson Police Department after separating from the US Army in 1969. He enjoyed several different assignments during his 30-year career to include Uniform Division, Special Problems, SWAT and 18 years as Helicopter Pilot. After retiring from TPD, Tim became AZCOPS first full-time employee. He currently serves as Chief of Staff where his duties include supervising staff, organizing new associations and working with existing associations throughout the state. Tim is the AZCOPS liaison to the National Coalition of Public Safety Officers and CWA.

  

Anamarie Daniels, Office Manager

    Anamarie Daniels is the Office Manager in the Tucson AZCOPS office. She came to AZCOPS with experience in human resources, payroll and several aspects of administrative duties. Anamarie started with AZCOPS as a part-time employee while attending college. When her father Henry Rios retired, her knowledge of the position provided a smooth transition and she was hired as his replacement. Her current duties include the accounting, payroll and secretarial functions of the office.
 
 

Chris Currie, Organizer

Chris Currie joined the AZCOPS staff in 2006. Previously, he served five years as an Adult Probation Officer and was Membership Coordinator for the Arizona Probation Officers Association.  His hard work and commitment to the organization resulted in dramatic growth for AZPOA. After resigning from the Adult Probation Department in 2006, AZCOPS rewarded Chris for his organizing efforts by naming him Organizer for the Department of Corrections.

Chris' previous experience includes one year as a juvenile corrections officer and seven years of private security work. He graduated from Northern Arizona University in 1989 with a degree in Criminal Justice. 

 

Jim Parks, AZCOPS Representative

Jim Parks is a military veteran of the Navy and the Army Reserve. He joined the AZCOPS staff, part-time in 2008 after retiring from the Tucson Police Department. During his career with the department he worked Uniform Division, CRT Unit and spent his last seven years in the Bike Unit.

Jim has been involved in the union for 15 years. His previous experience includes five years as AZCOPS President, Vice President of the TPOA, Treasurer for both TPOA and AZCOPS  and as a Grievance Rep (TPOA).

 

Luis Ebratt, Director of Government Relations

Luis Ebratt has been an Adult Probation Officer since 1973. He moved to Arizona from Pennsylvania in 1984 and became a supervisor in Adult Probation in 1986. In 1998, he established and became the first President of Arizona Probation Officers Association. After a brief retirement in 2001, he returned to the presidency in March 2004. Lu currently serves as President of the National Coalition of Public Safety Officers (NCPSO/CWA). He served as NCPSO Secretary from December 2004 until January 2009. On July 31, 2007, Lu retired from the Maricopa County Adult Probation Department, ending 34 years in the field. He now serves as both the full-time President of AZPOA and Director of Government Relations for AZCOPS.

 

Mike Storie, Attorney

 

   

Mike Storie is AZCOPS’ lead criminal attorney and is also responsible for handling AZCOPS matters in southern Arizona. Mike may have the most experience of any attorney in Arizona in representing officers in critical incidents ranging from shootings to in-custody deaths. He also handles all cases in which criminal charges are brought against our members for on-duty conduct. Under Mike’s watch, no AZCOPS member has ever been convicted on charges relating to on-duty conduct. Mike is admitted to the Arizona State Courts as well as Federal District Court for the District of Arizona and his office is in Tucson.
