Cost to Member: "0"
Legal Expense Limit: "NO LIMIT"

AZCOPS members are protected by its no-cost, no-limit Legal Protection Plan, which covers the following:
 

  • Member involved shooting
  • In-custody death or life-threatening injury
  • Accident while in the performance of duty that results in a life-threatening injury or death to others
  • Involuntary termination from employment
  • Demotion
  • Criminal charges or indictments arising out of the member's official performance of duty
  • Suspensions to the extent that the prevailing agency policy, procedures or rules provide for a formal administrative hearing
  • Other disciplinary actions: AZCOPS grievance-trained representative will assist members through internal agency process to ensure compliance with policy and procedure
  • Civil actions arising out of the member's official performance of duty if representation is not provided by employer.

Members are entitled, but not limited to the above benefits under the AZCOPS Legal Assistance Plan.

Workplace Grievance Training 


Each association will have grievance representatives who are familiar with member agency policies and procedures.

AZCOPS assists its members and affiliated chapters in how to become a strong political force in their community and state through political
action committees and lobbying.
